This is a high quality plastic pinion gear. Use it to get the desired speed and torque from your motor. It comes with a 6mm bore and a set screw which makes it easy to attach the gear to motors and axles of various diameters. Perfect for use in science projects, robotics, etc. The outer diameter of this gear is 37 mm and has 25 teeth. It has a central hole/bore of diameter 6 mm. Fits perfectly with all our 6 mm axles and motors with 6mm shaft. Nylon Spear Gear is Tough and has a good pressure rating.

This Spear gear, when used in combination with the worm gear, has a distance of in between them. Spear gears or straight-cut gears are the simplest types of gear. They consist of a cylinder or disk with teeth projecting radially. Though the teeth are not straight-sided, the edge of each tooth is straight and aligned parallel to the axis of rotation. These gears mesh together correctly only if fitted to parallel shafts. No axial thrust is created by the tooth loads. Spur gears are excellent at moderate speeds but tend to be noisy at high speeds.
