PRODUCT DESCRIPTION / SPECIFICATIONS
Create your own drone by choosing options. Choose to make an low cost one or high performance one as per your need and budget. You get to choose all parts of a drone with options. See description below for the part options. The default options make a fully flying quadcopter at very low price tag. You can choose upgrades for any components.

These configurations are just for reference, you can make your own copter by using combination of parts. Check below for description of options.
For low cost configuration where charger is not included, its assumed that you already have charger or you will buy one separately or with this kit.
Frame and Motors:
We have 2 types of frames - Quadcopter + type frame, Hexacopter frame.
+ frame is standard F450 frame in which all arms are at 90 degrees angle. For hexacopter with six rotors there is only one frame option - Hexacopter F550 Frame.
2 Types of motors & ESCs - High performance motors & ESCs and Economy motors & ESCs
High performance motors are made specially for multirotors and have propeller locking mechanism on top. They also come in CW and CCW variants for different props so normally there is very less chance of propeller being loose due to any kind of vibrations. The ESCs are high update rate SimonK firmware ESCs which deliver high speed control of motor rpm and thus stability of copter.
Economy motors are cheap and cost effective however the efficiency is less. Also they use normal ESCs instead of high speed simonk firmware based ones and comes with general propellers. They should be used when the copter is not going to be used for professional purposes.
4 Different types
CT6B 6 Channel - Basic radio control. No screen or configuration on the controller. You need to program and configure setting through USB cable provided through PC. Uses 8 AA cells.
FS-i6 6 Channel - LCD on the controller to adjust all the settings of controller. Due to its dual antenna designa and high performance radio it gives high range and much longer battery life than CT-6B. Uses 4 AA cells.
TH-9X 9 Channel - Ultimate and economy radio with lots of settings and options, everything configured through onboard LCD and buttons. Lots of switches and mixing options. Supports expo, curves, mixing and many other advanced features. It can be loaded with other open source firmware and can be made more productive. You can also upgrade the radio to FRSKY or OPENLRS modules to avail telemetry option and very long range.
FLYSKY FS-I6S 2.4G 10CH - Ultimate and economy radio with lots of settings and options, everything configured through onboard LCD and buttons. Supports expo, curves, mixing and many other advanced features. It can be loaded with other open source firmware and can be made more productive. You can also upgrade the radio to FRSKY or OPENLRS modules to avail telemetry option and very long range.
APM 2.6 - One of the highest Price to Performance and features ratio flight controller. It supports lots of extra accesssories and is completely open source. It has a good support site for flight controller and all the accesories it supports - http://copter.ardupilot.com . It supports GPS based Autonomous, Semi-Autonomous and Manual flights with lots of options.
KK 2.1.5 - Its cheap and easy to configure flight controller. It has a LCD display on board and 4 switches to set and configure all the parameters. It doesn't require PC or Laptop for configuration. It doesn't support GPS so only manual flight control is possible.
PIXHAWK PX4 2.4.8 32 BIT FLIGHT CONTROLLER BOARD - The benefits of the Pixhawk system include integrated multithreading, a Unix/Linux-like programming environment, completely new autopilot functions such as sophisticated scripting of missions and flight behavior, and a custom PX4 driver layer ensuring tight timing across all processes.
OPENPILOT CC3D FLIGHT CONTROLLER - The CC3D board is an all-in-one hardware that runs the stabilization OpenPilot firmware. It can be configured to monitor each cell of fly-wing flies on an octocopter and be monitored via the software OpenPilot Ground Control Station (GCS). CopterControl from the OpenPilot project represents a new generation of multi-purpose aircraft stabilization platforms.
AFROFLIGHT NAZE32 REV6 FLIGHT CONTROLLER - Designed for serious quad racers and freestyle maniacs, the AfroFlight Naze32 flight controller is undeniably the most used, recognised and supported flight controller in the scene today. With a 32bit ST micro processor and a host of equally impressive sensors, this Rev6 Acro version comes with 16mbit memory and the BMP280 barometer. This board also comes with angled header pins and is configurable with baseflight / Cleanflight via the onboard USB connector.

Flight times are tested for hovering in no wind condition at height of 2-3 meters without any payload.
This item is optional. You can skip it if you already have one which can charge 3 Cell Li-Po battery.

Camera and Gimbal:
If you are buying copter for aerial photography or survelliance you will need camera, gimbal and video transmitter- receiver.
There are multiple options in camera. You can choose for highest quality GoPro Hero 4 which gives 4K video, DYS HDV-1 which gives Full HD video or CCTV camera which gives live SD video feed but no recording. All cameras give Standard Definition video feed.
Multirotors are not aerodynamic machines. They move and stiblize by changing the angle and motor speeds. Due to this if the camera is just statically mounted on the frame it gives lots of vibrations and movements in video. To avoid this its must to use minimum 2 axis gimbal. It will stabilze camera against copter movements and also allow you to control pitch of camera remotely. 2 Axis gimbal controls Tilt and Roll, yaw is controlled by copter rotation. 3 Axis gimbal can stabilize in all 3 axis Roll, Pitch and Yaw.
Video transmitter is required to see live feed from copter to a screen on land.
Landing Gears are required when you want to attach camera and gimbal at the bottom of copter. Not only this but even if you don't attach camera its recommended that you use landing gears on the copter. The rotors create lots of thrust and turbulance while take off or landing and this blows the dust on land inside the copter which may damage components like altitude sensor in long time. Landing gears give height to copter and protects it while landing.
- Basic mechanical, soldering, radio configuration, PID tuning for flight and other configuration skills are required to assemble the copter.
- As all the parts are standard and all the flight controllers have their documentation onlie we do not provide any assembly and tuning support execpt for assembled copters. You are requested to buy one only after studiying the documentation for each flight controller and parts you are buying or you are reuqested to by a ready to fly one and not the kit.
