The ESP8266/ESP-12F Module/Serial WIFI Witty Cloud Development Board + MINI NodeMCU (SKU: 8655) is an affordable, compact WiFi transceiver, ideal for home automation and IoT applications. This module communicates directly with WiFi routers through UART, making it an excellent replacement for NRF24L01 in IoT setups.

The ESP-12 module supports extensive GPIO access and is compatible with both Arduino IDE and LUA NodeMCU firmware, making it versatile for various programming needs. Equipped with an LDR sensor and WS2812 RGB LED, this board is excellent for projects requiring light detection and visual indicators. Programming is made easy with the included CH340 USB-to-UART module.

The ESP-8266 chip, known for its energy efficiency, integrates an antenna and power management converter, making it perfect for IoT applications. It also supports energy-saving modes that quickly switch between sleep and wake, which is ideal for power-sensitive applications.

Dubbed the "Witty Cloud," this module is a stacked PCB design. The main board houses the ESP-12F, an RGB LED, LDR, button, and micro USB port. The lower board, with the CH340G USB-to-UART module, allows for easy computer connection to program the ESP8266 or view debug messages. Both boards can operate independently once the firmware is loaded, and the CH340 board can even serve as a USB-to-UART programmer for other modules.
